W A R N I N G: ESCHATOLOGY CAN BREAK OUT AT ANY MOMENT

My name is Albert Krauss, and my email address is alkrauss@pacific.net. I do not wish to register in order to create a "blog" under my own identity. This is not an "anonymous" comment.
The historical, philosophic and political dimensions of Sufism are wonderfully summarized by the various presenters. A major flaw, however, is the underlying motive: that this information and perspective should have a "pragmatic" effect on American foreign policy.
Simply put, any intervention, however subtly or indirectly approached, can only be a kiss of death. Further, and this may seem "cynical", what is not addressed is the fact that American foreign policy has been driven by forces which are hardly ecumenical, nor even naively gingoistic, but rather sinister in their drive to control resources. The underlying reality of the Western institutional corporate military "complex", now metastasized in rampant form by the effects of American extremism, render all of this "helpful" content an exercise in wishful fantasizing.
